ForEOSt

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 16:30

ForEOSt aims to promote easy access and appropriation of EO data, to ensure visualisation of EO products through integration into thematic/business platforms, to enable the production of forest services over large areas in the most automated way possible, and to allow monitoring of changes in the forest over time, such as deforestation or afforestation, and impacts on the forest such as drought or pests. ForEOSt is based on a combination of Sentinel-2 data and Very High Resolution (VHR) data.

EO4Belmap

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 16:26

Expansion of Belmap, a 3D database of all buildings and addresses within Belgium and its neighbouring countries with a multitude of linked data variables, with inclusion of EO-derived information extracted via Artificial Intelligence techniques. Four new modules are planned to be developed and validated, i.e. Greenfields (construction of new roads and buildings), Building
age (including e.g. detection of buildings before/after the year that asbestos was banned), Gardens (garden surface versus buildings), and Roofs (classification of roof typologies, roof materials and structures).

EnviNavigator

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 16:23

EnviNavigator is a platform offering products and services based on satellite Earth Observation data, other georeferenced data, as well as in-situ data to support monitoring and analyses of the resources, environment and their changes in forest and agriculture sectors. The demonstration project focusses on the development and piloting of automated forest monitoring services for forest owner associations in Finland and Germany and forest owners. These services include change detection and risk predictions (such as stress maps

Enhanced Logging Operations (TIKKA)

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 16:19

The project’s objective is to design, develop and demonstrate a web-service for producing logging plans based on a combination of aerial LiDAR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging) data, Earth Observation satellite data, geo-located field plots and existing map databases. The proposed service has the potential to drastically change the economy of logging operations planning in Poland.

ECO4CO

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 16:14

The ECO4CO service aims at providing a set of location-based information services to support different actors (i.e. National/Regional Civil Protection authorities, Public Health services) involved in the COVID-19 outbreak crisis
management and recovery phase, jointly exploiting space (Earth Observation) and non-space (social media, mobile phone, connected vehicles, etc.) data. ECO4CO provides rapid spatial insights and evidence about geo-localised events that may have an impact on the evolution of a COVID-19 outbreak.

Earth Blox

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 16:09

Earth Blox is an e-learning solution offering university-level students the possibility to learn the practical elements of Earth Observation. This cloud-based platform supports large scale data analysis and processing together with the learning of basic coding skills.

E.O.L.O.

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 16:03

Currently, Farm Technologies provides an IoT system that advises farmers on timing and quantity of irrigation to be provided to their crops. The EOLO project is aimed at introducing advanced Earth Observation data processing
expertise, especially in applying innovative and automatic techniques based on Neural Networks, for the monitoring of crops and soil. This is to be integrated with a meteorological local now-casting service, to help farmers preserve their crops from severe and sudden storm events with rapid evolution.

Digital Engineer

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 15:53

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis many engineering firms closed their offices, labs and workshops leaving the new graduated engineers with very little hope to find a job or internship. In the universities, during the same time, labs were closed and remain locked in these days making impossible for

DECISIONX

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 15:48

The DecisionX service aims to bring to flight operations a Data-as-a-service offered to Aircraft Operators, Airlines, Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) entities and original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). The proposed
service aims to facilitate “smarter flight operations and maintenance cycles” by proactively limiting the exposure of their fleet to engine-aggressive elements of the atmosphere and allowing therefore to save substantial amounts of money.

Darwin Shuttle

activity - Wed, 20/11/2024 - 14:34

UK start-up Darwin Innovation Group project aims to develop and provide a service consisting of an electric bus operating first within the Harwell Campus and then afterwards expanding to other geographical areas such as airports, hospitals and others.
