The Satfarm-Services project aims to improve our climate change adaption capabilities in agriculture. The usage of satellite born agricultural indices frequent information on crop vigor, damage and stress and information on soil conditions. The possibilities for potential usages are numerous and are constantly expanded by researchers. However, the access, and the handling of this data is complex and usually not possible for laymen.

Austrian Data Cube

The Austrian Data Cube (ACube) project delivers a prototype system making Copernicus data available to the broader public. The consortium of five Austrian partners introduces a state-of-the-art infrastructure integrating a cloud-based data cube concept for Austria. The data cube concept stores data in a gridded multi-dimensional database capable of providing time-series of highly standardized and harmonized radiometrically and geometrically corrected satellite data.

Wetlands are amongst the planet‘s most productive ecosystems providing food and water, controlling floods, protecting against consequences of storms and supporting biodiversity. Thus, a consistent mapping and monitoring of global wetland areas should be a top priority in the upcoming years.
