Reaching vulnerable people in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic

In the process of easing the lock-down following the COVID-19 outbreak, Isolation Plus is a service offering a comprehensive set of features addressing several aspects of social isolation of vulnerable people associated to support to Community Voluntary Organisations for matching the two sides but also to support a safe operation of the latter group. Space is key to enable the service via EO and GNSS. 

Dynamic monitoring and management services for Forests

The project shall deliver an integrated service for forest management, by providing identification of tree species and tree density, monitoring of damages to the trees due to weather or diseases, and digitalisation of forest assets for harvesting activities management. The project will use sentinel-2 and other EO assets to enable a scalable solution for dynamic forest management, especially suited for hard to reach locations.

This project aims to develop a Platform supporting several agricultural field monitoring services such as weed detection, frost detection and yield predictions. The platform will combine several sensors (optical/SAR, public/commercial) and offer the user/customer a choice over price and performance options for its different services. 

Deforestation compliance checks

ForestMind provides deforestation compliance checks using satellite Earth observation data, in combination with supplied location data acquired through customer engagement of farms/mills/ slaughterhouses. It delivers tailored intelligence reports with clear actions, highlighting areas of risk and supplier data that need further investigation by the customers. The focus of the project is on beef as well as other key commodities (soy, coffee) supply chain and deforestation compliance checks. 

Demonstration of automated Flight Management for the operation of Unmanned Aerial Systems

First Rapid Emergency System against Pandemic 

The service aims to enhance responses to major crises (including COVID-19) by connecting operators involved in rescue operations and improving situational awareness using satellite communication and navigation services. Selling points include accelerating the pre-medical chain, and increasing first responder safety.
