Flooding is a recurrent phenomenon in Austria. Every year sees at least several smaller-scale flood events occurring in different parts of the territory. While the extent and duration of these events are limited, their combined impact on society and economy is significant. The LACO-Wiki system was developed in the project, which encapsulates a validation workflow as four stages:
1. A user uploads a map to be validated using visual interpretation of satellite imagery or orthophotos, e.g., a land cover map. 2. They generate a statistical robust validation sample. 3. They set up a validation session and undertake the validation. 4. They generate an accuracy assessment report.
