Land dynamics and statistical information as a cloud service for National Statistical Offices.

National Statistical Offices (NSOs) in Europe are confronted with the challenge of an ever-increasing number of reporting obligations, rapidly expanding from National, European to international level through the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets. Earth Observation (EO), particularly the European Copernicus programme, could significantly support and relieve the burden related to the collection of statistical data on changes on the earth surface.

The goals of LandSTATSeo are to develop and verify an early prototype land dynamics information service based on further advanced cloud services, new machine learning methods with data stream access through statistical analysis software’s via application programming interfaces (API) via the Austrian Data Cube hosted at EODC (Earth Observation Data Centre).
