The DecisionX service aims to bring to flight operations a Data-as-a-service offered to Aircraft Operators, Airlines, Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) entities and original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). The proposed
service aims to facilitate “smarter flight operations and maintenance cycles” by proactively limiting the exposure of their fleet to engine-aggressive elements of the atmosphere and allowing therefore to save substantial amounts of money.
This shall be achieved by enhancing reliability, performance and profitability of these stakeholders to minimise unscheduled aircraft maintenance by reducing the exposure of aero-engines to adverse environmental conditions such as super-cooled water drops, sulphur in polluted air, volcanic ashes and mineral
desert dust.
