Automated satellite-based bridge monitoring.
 

The network of roads, bridges, and railways forms the backbone of our economy. Building and renovating this critical infrastructure in a resource-efficient way contributes to sustainable mobility and reduces emissions. Satellites enable recurring and detailed data collection of this infrastructure, minimizing the need for costly on-site inspections. The goal is to develop a method for cost-efficient and low-effort monitoring of all bridges across Germany. The suggested approach utilizes automated analysis of persistent scatterer point clouds combined with machine learning.
