Space Assets Integration for Sports Event Photography

The project intends to enhance the service of official photography during sport events, providing a near real-time availability of the photos, with geo-location tags and facial recognition. The new service allows participants to download their own pictures during the performance right after the event, with guaranteed quality and cheaper costs. Satellite communications integration allows a dedicated transmission channel during the crowded events, accurate satellite navigation positioning supports a high precision tagging of the photos. The project lasts 12 months, and the greatest marathons in the UK are used as pilot tests for the new features of the service, especially the London Marathon and the Manchester Marathon.
