Small containers of crude oil experimented with onboard a satellite to improve our understanding of oil reservoirs buried kilometres underground

The SCCO experiment took place on Chinese Shijian 10 Satellite in April 2016. Possible future flights are discussed. The exoerunebt measured thermodiffusion in ternary mixtures representative of deep oil fields. Active participation of TOTAL and Chinese oil company (RIPED).
