Remote sensing fire protection system

The RSFPS project concerns the development of a system aiming to rapidly identify the fire hot spots in the National Park areas. The project involves the development of a remote sensing system to support fire management activities. The targeted activities are preliminary planning and preparations, fire monitoring and effective fire response planning. The system makes use of satellite technology and airplane platform to create an integrated platform using GNSS systems and thermal, SAR and optical sensors. The end-users of the RSFPS are national parks.
