Nitrogen fertilization, irrigation and crop growth monitoring using Earth Observation systems

The NITREOS service platform aims at serving organic farmers, as well as conventional, in carrying out daily activities in a more efficient, profitable and sustainable way, compared to the practices they used until now. It provides several services to farmers and agricultural consultants such as irrigation scheduling, variable rate fertilization, crop growth monitoring, and yield estimation. Main users are farmers, crop consultants, and organic agricultural cooperatives and organic farmers groups. The service uses satellite and weather derived agricultural services and builds upon the high resolution imagery provided by Copernicus, complemented with other open EO data, to improve the quality of the offered products.
