Near real-time radar imaging using AI (Artificial Intelligence) to publish lake ice phenology

NextGen Environmental Research has officially been named as one of eight companies on the Canadian Space Agencies SmartEarth program. This funding allows for the development of a near real - time platform that leverages artificial intelligence classifications of lake ice phenology based on C band radar images. The publication of radar images and climate information on personal devices aims to make lake ice travel safer for the public in temperate and arctic climates.
