Understanding the mechanisms of  Immune suppression

NASA / ESA ISS In vitro Experiment inside the KUBIK incubator investigating the molecular mechanism of inhibition of T-lymphocyte activation in spaceflight. The experiment identified changes in patterns of gene expression, from which it was possible to tentatively identify whch activation / signal pathways are sensitive to changed gravity. The results of the experiment are relevant to understanding the mechanisms of  Immune suppression observed in astronauts during spaceflight as well as other situations of immune dysfunction.
