JACKSON (AMAZON CCN#1) Temp

activity - Thu, 07/05/2020 - 15:05

Real-time satellite based telemedecine service for professional clinical users in remote locations

The Jackson project is a direct follow-up of the Amazon project. It aims at developing a range of products in order to allow a wider implementation of telemedicine and patient data sharing, through new technology, and to access larger market segments, through cardiac electro-therapy solutions. The ultimate objective of the project is to augment the existing Tempus Pro device with new products and services, which will enable its wider adoption by healthcare providers. Main users are professional civilian medical personnel deployed in local-civilian and remote scenarios via a variety of emergency response vehicles. The project also targets monitor and defibrillator users such as paramedics, physician's assistants and doctors, as well as telemedicine users. This project leverages the existing investment in space assets (satcom and GNSS data) that were established in the previous Amazon project and utilises them in much larger markets.
