Intensive Care Unit Train

ICUTRAIN is a medicalised train service enabling to decrease the pressure created by massive patient admissions to hospitals during crisis or pandemics. ICUTRAIN allows to temporarily increase the number of intensive care units facilities in a given area, as well as to transfer patients in critical care conditions (e.g. with severe respiratory infections such as CV19) to less congested or more suitable hospitals. The project will look to combine space, rail, cyber security and artificial intelligence-based technologies to enable remote medical analysis and consultations that require data exchange and high security standards.  This includes space-based technology such as satellite communications and geo-positioning, enabling advanced telemedicine and remote diagnosis while travelling.
