Space-based services for elderly health-care

Cardiovascular diseases are the first cause of death globally, taking around 17.9 million lifes each year. ESA-coordinated GoWalk-Walk2Health consists of a mobile app using GNSS services aimed at encouraging older people to take regular exercise, in order to improve their health.

The GoWalk-Walk2Health product aims at encouraging older people to take regular exercise. The product uses GNSS technology to obtain accurate location data. The product targets the European population aged over 65 years old.
