Increasing efficiency of bone exploration & helping early detection of osteoporosis

The EDOS-2 project will help to assess further the efficiency of bone exploration developed through ESA research and research from other organisations in the future, and should significantly contribute to the development of a reference technique to perform early detection of osteoporosis on Earth in a unique way. These improved diagnostics in the early stages of such a medical condition may prove extremely important in developing more effective countermeasures to the effects of osteoporosis.
