Tracking astronaut meals for a healthy nutrition menu

EveryWear is an iPad-based application that collects physiology and medical data from astronauts on board the International Space Station. It was connected to wearable biomedical sensors that recorded Thomas Pesquets’ exercise activities, heart rate and sleep quality. The tool’s main use is for food journaling. The astronaut simply has to scan the barcode of the food of choice with the built-in tablet camera, classify it as breakfast, lunch dinner or snack, and add how water was consumed. These same principles can also be used on Earth for monitoring and implementing healthy nutrition plans of individuals.
