Space-related service for better vulnerability and exposure data

The CountFloors service aims at providing better vulnerability exposure data to the (re)insurance companies, and at the same time to the covered municipalities, which get the generated data for free, in order to improve risk management. It allows insurers to narrow significantly the uncertainty on risk estimates and to offer more competitive insurance rates. The service mainly targets (re)insurance companies and municipalities. The service uses GNSS systems to underpin geolocation of street pictures as well as Earth Observation data to build precise up-to-date maps of urbanized areas and very high spatial resolution optical data to extract building footprints where these are not available from open databases.
