Contactless, or On-demand, Mobility-as-a-Service platform

The Contactless project is aimed at providing an application and associated back end-service for on-demand car rental, which allows the customer to rent a car without the involvement of the front desk office. This on-demand product transforms the rental experience from being counter-centric to being app-centric. The service ensures that the rental company can offer a service where the rental customer can get the right car in the right location and at the right time. Contactless makes heavy use of satellite positioning technology (GNSS) as vehicle location is used for multiple purposes thoroughout the system such as identification of precise pick-up/drop-off locations, geofencing car return to ensure the vehicle is at the expected location or geofencing of car journeys to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
