Covid-19 Alert and Resilience System

In the context of the COVID-19 outbreak, CARES aims to allow the monitoring of the health and geo-localisation of home-quarantined population spread across wide areas. The CARES system includes the measurement of specific indicators able to provide information about the health situation of the patients, the collection of these measurements through a Health Monitoring & Communication Unit (HMCU), their transmission via different communication methods (terrestrial, satellite) to a Data Collection, Processing & Distribution Centre (DCPD), and their distribution to the medical authorities. Healthcare professionals analyse the data and act accordingly.
