Benefiting from Space for Urban Resilience Excellence

B-SURE is based on the outcome of the ESA IAP Urban Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Feasibility Study run by a consortium led by AnsuR. The project intends to develop and validate a Service Oriented Architecture providing space-based solutions able to support increased awareness and understanding of risk, improved disaster response and faster recovery from natural and man-made disasters. Key components of the B-SURE system are situational awareness from satellite EO, UAVs and in-situ sensors based on smartphones, and fusion of the information in a live mapping portal.
