3D Printing Refugee camp facilities based on future astronaut habitats

The vision of this space innovator comprises an autonomous rover capable of building structures using free energy from the sun and local resources. It will use sintering as an additive manufacturing technique to turn terrestrial sand into solid rock, without the need for any other binders. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is considered a new industrial revolution. It is green technology at its best – zero waste production translates into enormous cost savings and energy efficiency. The potential use of this technology in desert and war zones makes it a good solution for emergency shelters in refugee camps, usually located in areas where sand is abundant, and it is very difficult to move construction materials.
