FishermanFrank, led by Frank Fleming, is committed to promoting responsible and sustainable fishing practices in Ireland. The company participates in Fishery Improvement Projects supported by Bord Iascaigh Mhara, focusing on enhancing the sustainability of fish stocks and improving the quality of landed catch. FishermanFrank supplies Haddock, Whiting, and Breaded Whiting sourced from vessels participating in these sustainability initiatives, aiming to provide consumers with high-quality, traceable seafood while supporting the long-term viability of the Irish fishing industry.


The project also seeks to:

  • Make industry standards more accessible to a wide variety of commercial fishermen
     
  • Improve the management of certification data
     
  • Enhance the quality of captured data
     
  • Establish a two-way information highway between vessels and their sales agents/processors
     
  • Address processors' requirements regarding supplier controls and vessel landing information.


FishermanFrank is commited to sustainable fishing practices by improving communication, data management, and adherence to industry standards throughout the supply chain.
