The ECO4CO service aims at providing a set of location-based information services to support different actors (i.e. National/Regional Civil Protection authorities, Public Health services) involved in the COVID-19 outbreak crisis
management and recovery phase, jointly exploiting space (Earth Observation) and non-space (social media, mobile phone, connected vehicles, etc.) data. ECO4CO provides rapid spatial insights and evidence about geo-localised events that may have an impact on the evolution of a COVID-19 outbreak.
The service concept is based on the synergies between social and business intelligence that automatically tasks Earth Observation satellite acquisitions, which are analysed and correlated with terrestrial and GNSS data.
