Darwin Shuttle
UK start-up Darwin Innovation Group project aims to develop and provide a service consisting of an electric bus operating first within the Harwell Campus and then afterwards expanding to other geographical areas such as airports, hospitals and others. The main benefits of the service are environmental, contributing to a cleaner air, societal and economic, expanding the usage of the campus amenities with an easier way to connect campus tenants and the leisure services, and technological, by allowing telematics data of the shuttle to be sent both via terrestrial and satellite channels with Telefonica O2 network for sending the telematics via 5G, and Hispasat to send the data via satellite channels.
