A haptic belt as a navigation device for the visually impaired

FeelSpace GmbH was founded as a start up out of the University of Osnabrück. Based on 10 years research with tactile compass belts, a haptic belt was developed as a navigation device for the blind. Vibration motors show the direction where a target destination is located. The smartphone acts as an interface. Target groups: blind and visually impaired, bikers, tourists
