App-based air quality indicators & personal recommendations

Poor outside air quality is a silent killer. It is responsible for more than 450.000 premature deaths in Europe each year. But what can we do about it? Available air quality data are too complex for personal use. Aircheckr brings the solution by creating and opening up the best available air quality data in the EU. The aircheckr data is the result of intensive processing, where existing air quality data is modelled and enriched with weather data, crowdsourced local data and contextual information derived from Earth observation data. Aircheckr is application-driven, geolocation-based and in real time (incl. forecasting and historical component). The data are easily interpretable and also include personal recommendations. Through an API the data are available for developers that can integrate them in different applications (real estate, ventilation automation, health, news and info).
