3D Printing at EAC
Recyclability, functional material printing and building structures using in-situ resources
3D printing represents an exploration enabling technology - the prospect of significantly reducing the logistical demand on manned space missions can be realised by smart usage of additive manufacturing techniques. At EAC, the European Astronaut Centre, in collaboration with colleagues from ESTEC, we investigate approaches to 3D printing that could lead to recyclability, functional material printing and even building structures using lunar regolith material.
