Ocean observations for safe and swift marine operations

SeaWaze Offshore is a web-based service dedicated to companies involved in marine operations such as offshore energy developers, contractors as well as shipping and towing companies. These companies rely on high safety factors yet weather-related accidents still happen. This is chiefly because decision making processes are putted at risk by incomplete information. The service shall facilitate simultaneous and critical operations with historical and real-time metocean measurements and contribute to reduction of downtime and incidents. The services are based on eOdyn's omni-situ proprietary technology analysing vessels tracks derived from AIS data to measure ocean surface currents. AIS data including GNSS position information are available from terrestrial stations along coast lines and via satellite. For accuracy improvement, satellite EO data (altimetry data, sea surface temperature and chlorophyll concentration) are used.
