UltraViolet Sanitizing System

The proposed activity aims to develop an UltraViolet SANitizing System (UV-SAN) designed for frequent sterilization of Emergency Medical Vehicles fleets and for real-time remote monitoring of sterilization level. The service uses satellite navigation and satellite communication to increase the level of effectiveness and automation of the sanitization processes in EVMs, and to improve the situational awareness by tracking each single operation and the sanitization level of each vehicle present in the territory. The objective of the service is to protect hospitals, healthcare workers and patients from the threat of accidental contagion of pathogens, a problem that has worsened with the COVID-19 pandemic.
