Arctic Sea-ice and clean monitoring

The ARC-SCAN projects aim at improving the observation of sea ice variability and the detection of oil spills in the Arctic region by using satellite imagery, especially SAR data, and machine learning. Main users of the service are among the energy, environmental watching, marine security, shipping and defence sectors. The ARC-SCAN provide a supply solution for the automatic detection of sea ice and oil spill from Sentinel-1 images with high accuracy. The space assets permit to reduce significantly the processing time of the users.
