Services enabled by high altitude pseudo satellites (HAPS) complemented by satellites

The HAPS4ESA service aims at combining HAPS and satellites for ‘persistent surveillance’ monitoring scenarios notably in case of forest fire and for border security and maritime surveillance, to prepare for the envisioned development of sustainable services in the short-to-medium term. The service particularly targets the European Maritime Safety Agency, Frontex, the EU Satellite Centre and the Consejería de Medio Ambiente y Ordenación del Territorio en Almería.
