CERASAT
Centralized rainfall estimation using signalling data of satellite communication network
The CERASAT service aims at extracting rainfall information from the signalling data generated in Satellite Communication Network by employing advanced machine learning and signal processing techniques in order to improve the risk assessment related to river and flash floods and damage to buildings and infrastructures. The proposed solution is an efficient complement to existing rainfall measurement methods in terms of accuracy and CAPEX/ OPEX. The service mainly targets the insurance business as its success heavily relied on the accurate evaluation and estimation of the risks for premium calculation.
