Upgrading telemedicine networks

Goal of the EuroMedNet project was to upgrade the existing SHARED telemedicine network toward an operational network by introducing a Telemedicine Operation Centre (TOC) and by upgrading the stations in order to have them remotely controllable. This together with the introduction of the necessary tools allowed services information access, booking, automatic scheduling and communications set-up and confidentiality of data.

Target:

1.2 Reduce at least by half the proportion of men, women and children off all ages living in poverty

3.c Increase health financing and the recruitment, development, training and retention of the health workforce in developing

3.d Strengthen the capacity of all countries, in particular developing countries, for early warning, risk reduction and management of national and global health risks

10.1 Progressively achieve and sustain income growth of the bottom 40 per cent of the population at a rate higher than the national average

10.2 Empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status
